JEFFREY A. HAWKINS Executive Director – Christian Security Network
Jeffrey A. Hawkins serves as Manager of Private Sector Security Outreach for American Military University, an outstanding institution for working adults in the military, public safety and national security sectors, and beyond, serving more than 83,000 students in 100 different countries.
Hawkins also serves as Founder & Executive Director of the Christian Security Network, a national organization dedicated to increasing security & emergency planning for the Christian community through training and resources. He is currently Chairman of the ASIS International Houses of Worship Security Committee and past Chief Security Officer for a world-wide Christian ministry.
Hawkins is a senior public safety/security professional with over 30-years of diverse experience working for profit, not-for-profit and government organizations on a local, regional, and global level.
Hawkins has a B.S. degree in Business Administration and M.S. degree in Management. He graduated from the Chicago Police Academy and has over 1,000 hours of training in the areas of security, law enforcement and emergency management with such specialty agencies as the FBI, Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, and counter terrorism agencies in Israel.
Hawkins has served as Adjunct Professor of criminal justice, management, and technology and has written the book "Introduction to Security and Emergency Planning for Faith Based Organizations", as well as numerous articles for publications such as The Counter Terrorist, Law and Order, Police Magazine, Security Management, Security, Technology & Design, and Safety and Health. He is a frequent speaker and media authority on the topic of security across the country.
Hawkins, born and raised in Chicago, grew up with a Catholic mother and Baptist father, accepted Christ at a young age and has been shaped and guided by his faith and love for God.
