Among his duties, Mr. Aguiar is responsible for recruiting and training hundreds of volunteers as well as overseeing dozens of paid employees and contract law enforcement officers. He has recently authored “Keeping Your Church Safe”, a book designed to help churches implement safety and security programs. Mr. Aguiar is sought-after speaker and consultant to churches, para-church organizations and law enforcement agencies and is also a private security consultant. A native of Hawaii, Mr. Aguiar lives with his wife of thirty years, Nancy, in Louisville.
James J. Davis, CPP, CIPM, CSPM is a security management consultant who specializes in museums, houses of worship and other cultural property. He has over 35 years of experience in providing leadership and program management services to public and private institutions. Mr. Davis performs a wide range of security consulting services for cultural organizations in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Those services include threat and vulnerability assessments, security audits and surveys, program planning, training, and electronic security systems design. Prior to becoming a consultant, Mr. Davis served as the Chief of Protection Services at the National Gallery of Art, and as the Director of Public Safety for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, both in Washington, DC. Mr Davis is actively involved in several associations developing security industry standards, including ASIS International and the American Association of Museums.
Dr. McChesney served 24 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigations throughout the U.S. holding the third highest-ranking position in this agency. She has held unique, high-level leadership positions in The Walt Disney Company and the United States Catholic Bishops’ Conference. She has also published articles and major reports on various law enforcement and violence prevention issues and taught law enforcement courses at the FBI and King County Police Training Academies. Dr. McChesney currently consults with companies, faith-based and non-profit organizations regarding management and security matters.
John E. Pence, J.D. serves as general legal counsel to the Answers in Genesis ministry, located outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, as well as Director of Planned Gving and Director of Supporter Services. Prior to coming on staff at the ministry in 2002, John served as a member of the Answers in Genesis Board of Directors, and continues to serve as secretary and legal counsel to the board. John graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1980 with a law degree, and from Morehead State University in 1977, with an A.B. degree in English and political science.
Prior to entering private practice in 1998. Mrs. Rak developed expertise in the medical social work areas of trauma, chronic and terminal illness, and, grief and bereavement. She enjoys teaching appointments at local colleges and is a member of: The International Board of Christian Counselors and International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. Credentialed at the highest levels in her profession and the recipient of many prestigious awards, Mrs. Rak is a valuable resource and sought after speaker to faith-based organizations, professional, and community groups. Critical Incident Stress Management Certified with hundreds of hours of direct CISM, Mrs. Rak’s interest is in the education and response of emotional, psychological, and spiritual care in disasters. Mrs. Rak was the lead instructor of mental health conditions complicated/caused by physical illness to family practice residents and pastoral care interns.
Jason Rosselot, CPP presently serves as Director of Regional Security Protective Services with Wellpoint Incorporated, based in the Midwest. Mr. Rosselot is a former Special Agent with the U.S. Department of State, Diplomatic Security Service (DSS). He has conducted law enforcement and security in over 25 countries including Israel and the Gaza Strip. In addition to his criminal investigative and embassy security responsibilities, he protected visiting dignitaries and diplomats such as the Dalai Lama of Tibet, Nobel Peace Price recipient Nelson Mandela, as well as foreign ministers, and the U.S. Secretary of State. Mr. Rosselot has a Bachelor or Arts Degree in Criminology and a Master of Arts degree in Security Management. He is a member of ASIS International, the State Department Overseas Security Advisory Council, and is a frequent speaker and author on the topic of travel security.
Mr. Van Hook is a member of the Illinois Security Chiefs Association where he has served as president. He has received several awards including the “Legislative” and “Excellence in Security” awards and currently serves as a board member. Mr.Van Hook is a member of the Illinois Police Chiefs Association and serves on the Public Private Liaison Committee, a member of the International Security Managers Association (ISMA), a member of the International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM), Asset Protection Executives (APEX), an Advisory Board Member of the International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection (IFCPP) where he has served as a speaker and lecturer at their annual conference, and is a member of ASIS International and a board Certified Protection Professional. Mr. Van Hook has a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.
He currently manages the security function at IDEXX Laboratories Inc., teaches online classes for American Military University and, is the Principal of S.A. Watson & Associates LLC, a consultancy providing security and educational services to business and industry. Scott holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Long Island University, A Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University and a Masters of Education from the University of Massachusetts. Scott is a member of ASIS International where he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Crisis Management and Business Continuity Council, a member of the Museum, Library and Cultural Properties Council and a member of the Houses of Worship Working Group. Scott is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Northeast Disaster Recovery Information Exchange. In addition, Scott is an Elder and Youth Group Leader at Dover Baptist Church, where he also advises on security related issues and events.
John Zeigler is the Security Coordinator for one of the largest, fastest growing, multi-site churches in the United States, leading teams of Uniformed Police Officers and volunteers at more than 14 locations in several different states.
